Framework Pc, a company based in the United States, has introduced a new laptop with a similar feel to the excellent Fairphone, allowing customization options and the ability to replace individual components rather than the entire system. The Framework resembles virtually any trendy laptop computer on the exterior. It is around 16 mm in thickness, 1.3 kg in weight, and built from recycled aluminum. The laptop's body is sturdy and well-constructed, and the hinge is rock solid and opens to a full 180 degrees. However, the display screen flexes more when the display lid is closed than when it is opened.
The 13.5-inch display is sharp and reflective, but it is not touch-sensitive, which is uncommon for a Windows laptop. The deck features both a language keyboard and a suitably sized standard trackpad. It also contains a 1080p webcam on the highest of the display, a physical switch to shut it and the microphones, and a fingerprint reader built into the energy button for login into Windows.
Two audio systems fire from grilles on the bottom of the laptop, producing a sound that is relatively clear and loud but lacks realistic bass.
